How do I get my Visa?
For Nepal:
Nepal is one of the few countries which have this fantastic convenience of getting visa on arrival. All you need to do is
a. Fill up a form
b. Bring two passport sized photographs
c. Have your fee in cash (USD, Euro, Pounds Sterling) – equivalent to $ 25, 40 or 100 (for 15, 30 and 90 days multiple entry respectively)
d. Stand in queue
For Visa Extension:
Tourists can stay for a maximum of 150 days in a visa year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) extending the visa at the rate of 2 US $ per day. However, a minimum amount of 30 US$ has to be paid for a period of 15 days or less.
For India:
You must obtain your Indian visa before your arrival India. Indian Missions Abroad like The Embassies of India, High Commissions of India, and the Consulate Generals of India, are the right place to acquire your Visa to India. You can also apply for your Indian visa online at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/
You need to apply for a transit visa if you are going to change from an international terminal to a domestic terminal of any Indian airport or if you are going to stay in an airport hotel even for a few hours. You don’t need a transit visa if you stay in the waiting area reserved for international transit passengers in an Indian airport. Note that you can stay for a maximum period of 72 hours in India on a transit visa. You should have a confirmed air ticket for the onward journey.
For Tibet:
Kathmandu is our starting point for all our Tibet trips. Hence, when you enter Tibet from Nepal, your Chinese visa must be issued at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. Visas issued elsewhere will be cancelled. The Consular Section of Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu is only open for visa application in the morning of every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, except holidays.
Hi On Life Adventures will obtain your Chinese visa and Tibet travel permit, however, you are advised to arrive 3 days before your departure to Tibet.
For Bhutan:
Tourist visas can only be requested through licensed tour operators in Bhutan. Hi On Life Adventures’ partner in Bhutan will obtain your visa. You must send scanned copies of your passport and passport photographs in advance to us. Once approved, a copy of the visa will be sent to you to use for travel. On arrival in Bhutan, you must present your passport, 2 photographs, and the fee of USD $20.00 to receive the original visa sticker.
