This one day hike from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha treks through terraced farmlands, pine forest and ethnic rural village, providing a panoramic mountain view, temples, and diverse variety of landscape. On a clear day you get views of the majestic Mt. Everest and Mt. Manaslu along with several other gigantic mountains. Walking through these beautiful villages and forest, we reach Namo Buddha Monastery which is regarded as a scared Buddhist pilgrimage place. One of three main Stupas was built on bones and hair of Prince Mahasatttav, who according to legend offered his body to feed an old starving tigress so she could feed her cubs.
Program details
7:30 AM- Pick up from hotel/ drive to Dhulikhel – 30.5 kms, 1 ½ hour drive
9:00 AM- Commence trek- 4 to 4 ½ hours with lunch break
Visit Namo Buddha Monastary
4:00 PM – Drive back to Kathmandu/ drop hotel- 41.6 kms, 2 hour drive
